There are many sharks that live in our ocean today. There were also many other sharks that lived way before but became extinct during the eras. Since 80% of our ocean has still not yet been explored, there can still be more unknown sharks out there. In current time, there has beeen 440 known sharks in the ocean so far. Listing 440 sharks would be very time consuming. These 440 sharks include our prehistoric sharks such as Megalodon. Each of these sharks are unique in their own way. Some sharks have different looks such as color, scales, jaw shapes, body shape, teeth, and fins. Most sharks are not all like great white sharks; where they sometimes attack humans and eat seals. Some other sharks eat only fish or live on the ocean floor and don't go up.
